QUEEN'S GAMBIT

Queen's Gambit is one of the oldest opening in chess but is still really popular in the current chess world. It is called as a gambit as White appears to sacrifice or give away a pawn. However, even though white sacrifices a pawn, black cannot retain the pawn without having a disadvantage. The objective of this opening is to temporarily sacrifice a pawn in order to gain control over the center of the board.

KING'S GAMBIT

Gambit is an opening in chess, often played by white, who sacrifices a piece (often a pawn)  with the hope to gain a more prominent position.  King's Gambit is one of the most aggressive and powerful openings in chess at the amateur level. The main aim of the King's gambit is that the white tries to weaken the central pawns of black so that they are able to capture central power. Its popularity declined in the 19th century when chess masters discovered plenty of ways through which black can have an equal position as white.
